Paul Digby is a Leeds based artist with a strong interest in the mental health sector and how it influences art practice. He will discuss his experience of working in the mental health sector and the affect of architecture on the individual.

Richard Scott, Surface architects

Thursday 20 January, 7pm

Richard Scott (BA hons Dip Arch RIBA) is the founding director of Surface. Richard's drawings and collaborative projects have since been exhibited in Los Angeles, New York and London. Richard worked for Will Alsop for 3 years on a number of high-profile buildings and urban design projects.

Carol Atkinson, Home Grown Home

Thursday 17 February, 7pm

In 2006 Carol designed and built the Straw Bale Cabin and researched its remarkable thermal performance over the following year. In 2008 Carol and Sam Atkinson built the larger Straw Bale Cottage, adding greatly to their straw bale knowledge and experience. Carol regularly talks about straw bale building to enthusiastic audiences.
