Hull Old Town Assessment Hull City Council PDF document Due for an update, this document still holds some valuable information about the historic 'quarter' of Hull which includes the Fruitmarket.  It highlights 'touchstones', topography, archaeological discoveries, future developments and a very detailed literary timeline in this 'character appraisal'.  The description of how the Old Town has progressed and changed refers to economic and social factors with a selection of carefully chosen visuals.  The street scape is discussed at length including details about street furniture and paving (more visuals).  Public art is touched upon, whereas building quality and building types has much greater coverage.  Useful maps are contained at the end, some of which denote listed and unlisted buildings. Key Stage 3 and above, whole school communities, public, local government officers, planners, developers, professionals working within the built environment
The importance and value of quality design Helena Grdadolnik PDF document
