Design Review Panel development contract
Background
The Humber Design Review Panel reviews strategically important schemes in Hull and North Lincolnshire and is managed by the Architecture Centre based in the Humber sub-region, arc. North Lincolnshire Council, Hull City Council and Gateway, the Hull and East Riding HMR Pathfinder support the Panel operation.
Integreat Yorkshire supports the development of the Panel, which includes this work.
The Panel has been in operation for 2 years, but is now entering a new period of development, following an independent evaluation and the production of a Panel operating manual.
We are seeking to appoint a suitable consultant to work with the Executive Director and newly appointed Design Review Manager to:
- Assess the implications of both the evaluation report and operating manual
- Develop an action plan to address the recommendations of the evaluation report and to implement the policies and procedures outlined in the Operating Manual
- Develop the Panel membership

arc is delivering a training seminar, developed by CABE and English Heritage, to develop skills and knowledge in Local Authority teams to deliver and evaluate quality contemporary design in historic contexts. The day has been developed with the support of architect David Crease.
