Understanding Architecture – an introduction 2007
Thursday evenings, 18.00 – 20:00
First session 27 September
The very popular adult evening class programme will start again in late September.
“I have found the course valuable so far because in contrast to many other lectures and visits … it focuses on the present rather than the past”.
Understanding Architecture Student
We are beginning the new term for 'Understanding Architecture - part one' in September and invite you to take part.
This adult education course is designed to be an introduction to key themes such as what is good design? What are the historic influences on the present? How do architects work?
Please note this is a repeat of module 1 of the Understanding Architecture programme. However, there may be enw content and certainly new faces. Old students are very welcome.
Sessions take place on thursday evenings in the arc building 18.00-20.00. Each session is led by Gillian Dyson, often with a guest speaker. We will also try to include a site visit in our programme.
"Understanding Architecture' is 'University Foundation Award' course, supported by the University of Hull's Centre for Lifelong Learning.
You can enrole with them or wait until the first session and enrol at arc. Course fees are outlined in the University prospectus and are from £0 (consessions) to £64 (full) for the 10 week course.
